Port au Choix proudly boasts of being the
Fishing Capital of Western Newfoundland. Upon entering this beautiful town, a
visitor is captivated by the traditional fishing fleet. The species of fish that
are caught include Halibut, Turbot, Lobster, Shrimp, Crab, Red Fish, Herring,
and Mackerel.
Port au Choix has a
National Historic Park. It is rich in an intriguing prehistory of
the Groswater Eskimo, Dorset Eskimo, and Maritime Archaic Indians. Any
