This community is near the very tip of the Great Northern Peninsula. One of the homes here, locally called Uncle Bill Pynn's House, is a provincially Registered Heritage Structure. The William Henry Pynn House was built in 1892 and housed the first post office and working telephone in Quirpon. This house was a haven to travelers over the years, including Sir Wilfred Grenfell.
