Cabins &
Cottages - Botwood
This community was originally called
Ship Cove, but was renamed to honour an Anglican minister, Rev. Edward Botwood,
who was the first to set up a sawmill industry there. By the late 1890s, the
named had been changed to Botwoodville. In 1938, the name was shorted to what it
is today - Botwood. To experience Botwood as it was,
drop by the
Heritage Centre/Museum located on the airbase.
