Historic Attractions & Museums - Deer Lake

The town of Deer Lake had its beginnings in 1864, when a Nichols family from Nova Scotia came to cut logs for boat building and remained to farm.  From modest beginnings, the town has continued to develop and is presently touted as being the service centre for not only the surrounding area but for the Northern Peninsula and White Bay as well.
