| Completed in
1831, Government House on Military Road is one of the city's few
architectural treasures to survive the Great Fire of 1892. Government House
is the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and
Labrador. The public may enter the grounds daily until dusk and sign the
visitor's book in the front porch until 6 pm, unless there are official
functions that make this impractical. |
