Historic Attractions & Museums - Greenspond

Greenspond was once known as the " Capital of Bonavista Bay " and has a history dating back to the late 1600's, It was a thriving commercial centre with as many as 4,000 people staying on the island at one time. The population is smaller today. The community itself has retained many of its original homes and architecture. One bit of advice: Greenspond was invented before the automobile, so it's best to park your car and walk around. That's also a sure way to meet the people who live here.
