L'Anse Amour Translate as "Cove of
Love", but the name is actually a romanticized version of "Anse aux
Morts" ("Cove of the Dead"), chosen probably for the many lives lost in
dramatic shipwrecks nearby. L'Anse Amour is smallest community in the area
with a nice beach and a picnic area. A burial site of a young Maritime
Archaic boy dated to 7500 years old is located here. |
