Smallwood Interpretation Centre

This unique building is the gem in the Smallwood Heritage Complex.

This centre is the gateway to the Kittiwake Coast, acting as a Smallwood Interpretation Centre and as an information centre for all attractions in Gambo and along the entire Kittiwake Coast.

Visit the Smallwood Era Room with its panel displays providing a visual and auditory experience of the life and times of Joseph R. Smallwood.

Browse the centre's gift shop for artwork, crafts and books.

The Gambo Room Cafe´ is the place to catch a snack. It's cozy and has a very selective menu, serving modern convenience food and traditional Newfoundland fare.

Or you can eat at the riverdeck, built above the Gambo River and offering a spectacular view of Freshwater Bay.
