Smallwood Interpretation Centre

This unique building is the gem in the Smallwood Heritage Complex.

This centre is the gateway to the Kittiwake Coast, acting as a Smallwood Interpretation Centre and as an information centre for all attractions in Gambo and along the entire Kittiwake Coast.

Visit the Smallwood Era Room with its panel displays providing a visual and auditory experience of the life and times of Joseph R. Smallwood.

Browse the centre's gift shop for artwork, crafts and books.

The Gambo Room CafeŽ is the place to catch a snack. It's cozy and has a very selective menu, serving modern convenience food and traditional Newfoundland fare.

Or you can eat at the riverdeck, built above the Gambo River and offering a spectacular view of Freshwater Bay.
