| Wesley United Church
was opened in 1908 as a Methodist church, underwent a name change in 1925
with the founding of the United Church of Canada. Wesley is
the home of VOWR, Newfoundland's oldest operating radio station, dating to
July 24, 1924. It is operated now by over 80 volunteers. |
