Historic
Attractions & Museums - Wesleyville
|
| Wesleyville was once one of the great sealing
capitals, the home of captains whose names were known all over
Newfoundland and Labrador - Winsor, Kean and Blackwood. The nationally
acclaimed artist David Blackwood, through his work has given form to lore
and legend, shapes and shadows of Wesleyville. The epic of the seal hunt
and the Labrador fishery can be seen in his work at the Art Gallery at the
Bonavista North Regional Museum. |
