Sea Kayaking - Mt. Pearl
Mount Pearl began as a farming
community in the 1800s. Sir James Pearl and Lady Ann Pearl were granted 500 acres of land
south of the Waterford River in 1829 in recognition of service to the
crown. The estate was first called Mount Cochrane but later changed to
Mount Pearl.
