Viking Trail
is St. Anthony. The town of St. Anthony was first
settled by Basque and French fisherman in the early 1500's. Located on
the northern tip of the Northern Peninsula, St. Anthony is the largest
community in the region. With a population of 2,900 people, St. Anthony
opens its doors to visitors. The town is fully equipped with schools, a
college campus, police station, regional hospital, churches, fire hall,
fish processing facilities, government offices, motels and recreational
facilities which all play a major role in attracting visitors. Acting as a
main centre for the region the town provides many types of services,
attractions and interesting places to visit. |
