Studios and Galleries - Clarenville

Clarenville is a modern service centre, and one of the newer towns in the province, dating from the 1890's. The main street through Clarenville is Balbo Drive, named for the Italian aviator Italo Balbo who landed in Shoal Harbour with a squadron of flying boats in 1933 on his way home from Chicago Exposition.
