Elliston is a beautiful little community situated on the tip of the Bonavista Peninsula. Formerly known as Bird Island Cove, Elliston boasts many great attractions. First, is Elliston's beautiful Sandy Beach and with the Municipal Park and Playground just across the street it is a great place to vacation. The community is a great place for bird watching. There is an excellent bird watching site and if you want to get close to the Puffins this is the place to be.

Also, Elliston is visited by numerous whales during the summer months. These big and beautiful creatures put on a show that just has to be seen. Elliston is very fortunate to be located on iceberg Alley. Every Spring and Summer these ancient icebergs float virtually by our doorsteps. The beauty of this quaint little town can only match the friendliness of the people who live there - anyone who visits Elliston will leave with a feeling of contentment, having discovered yet another one of Newfoundland and Labrador's treasures.

Be sure to visit Elliston during the Annual Puffin Festival held each year.
