Our museum is relocated downstairs to a newly renovated room
(65'x 22'), overlooking the harbour. We have new exhibits telling the history of Lewisporte & surrounding area. Our themes are
Sawmill Shipbuilding, Railroad/Coastal boats, WWI & WWII, Resettlement, Medical, etc
About the Collections:
Logging and carpentry tools. Photographs, painting and books. Household and children's items. Photography equipment. World War I & II artifacts.
Medical equipment collection and a 28-foot hooked rug depicting history of Lewisporte.
Approximate number of objects in the collections: 450-550.
Season: We open at the end of May to the end of Aug. Open for tours by appointment during off season
