Route 310
Coordinates: 48.6735° N, 54.0345° W

The Gateway to Terra Nova National Park, located 60 kms east of Gander, approximately 1/2 km off Trans Canada Highway, incorporated in 1954.

We welcome you to visit with the most hospitable people on the northeast coast of Newfoundland. In the mid-forties and late fifties, Glovertown had an influx of people from the island of Gooseberry Island, Flat Island, Deer Island, Coward's Island, Braggs Island, Green's Island and North Island, all islands of Bonavista Bay.

Try your luck for Atlantic Salmon on the beautiful Terra Nova River, one of the largest rivers of the northeast coast of the province. Explore and enjoy the wildlife and plant life at Ken Diamond Memorial Park where there are 3.5 kms of wheelchair-accessible walking trails.

Sailing, power boating and water skiing are second to none on the beautiful waters of Bloody Bay Reach, which has an in-draft (fjord) of 18 miles of salt water. Also on the waters of the Bay you can see seals, bald eagles and their nest sites.

We are proud of our residents who make our town the great place it is to live. Your next door neighbours are not just your neighbours; they are your friends.

Our People who are our greatest resources are committed to the betterment and development of our town which is why we welcome you from all across our great nation, Canada, and the World, with enthusiasm and friendliness.
